We’ve got some exciting news, fresh from the oven here at The Park Bakery…
We’ll now be selling our delicious baking up at Peel Café too.
Glentress Forest is our favourite spot for a Borders biking break – and it just got all the better, because our Head Chef Jen will now be baking for all of the visitors to Peel Café, as well as our guests here in the town. And let’s just say her date slice has left those bikers wheelie excited (sorry, just had to be done!).
The forest is a mountain biking mecca, welcoming over 300,000 visitors each year. Now when those bikers fancy a little pit stop to re-stock on some much-needed energy for taking on the tracks, they’ll be greeted by our Jen’s homemade haggis and pork sausage rolls, delicious chocolate traybakes, lots of hearty carbs, and energy packed meals.
And it’s not just bikers that take to the forest. It’s a great spot for walkers who’d like to explore the area too. They can take the seven-mile loop around Janet’s Brae, and stop in for a well-earned coffee and cake, or explore some of the trails and see fantastic views across Peebles. Just make sure to stay out of the way of any bikes coming up behind you.
You really won’t find a keener baker than our Jen. With The Park Bakery open from 7am, and Peel Café open from 9am she’s baking daily to make sure that everyone who takes a trip to Peebles gets a taste of her delicious treats. Stop in and give them a try!
