Spring breaks in the Scottish Borders
With spring just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start planning a spring break away. And what better place to choose than the Scottish Borders, where a warm welcome awaits at The Park.
Things to do in Peebles
There’s lots to see and do in the town of Peebles, where you can take in some of the best art galleries, craft shops, food markets and attractions during your Spring break.
Throughout your stay at The Park, you’ll have access to the facilities at our sister hotel, Peebles Hydro. Just a short walk away, you’re welcome to enjoy the heated indoor pool and gym, indulge in a treatment in the Spa, not to mention take in the free daily entertainment programme.
Our friendly team is on hand to help you get the most from your stay, whether you’re looking for a walking holiday, spectacular mountain biking or just a relaxing weekend break away this spring.
Things to do in the Scottish Borders
For family spring breaks in Scotland, there’s plenty of action and adventure. Try Go Ape where you can bring out your inner Tarzan as you swing through the treetops. Or for adventures closer to the ground, check out Glentress forest, which offers a spectacular selection of mountain bike trails and walks.
The Park is an ideal base for discovering the many stately homes and gardens in the Scottish Borders too. Floors Castle, the largest inhabited castle in Scotland, offers a variety of activities and attractions within its beautiful estate, and its walled gardens are perfect for a relaxing stroll. There’s also Traquair House, one of the most famous and historically important houses in Scottish history, Thirlestane Castle and Manderston House, home to the only silver staircase in the world. Not far from Peebles are Kailzie Gardens, the Dawyck Botanic Gardens and also Mary Queen of Scot’s House, a museum where visitors can learn the tale of Queen Mary’s life.
